I like the picture of what some folks call the Writing Spider. Here's what I read about them. You'll notice they vibrate when you disturb the web. The yellow markings spell danger to other critters such as a bird trying to eat an insect. The yellow markings make it appear as a bee like maybe a yellow jacket. This keeps the birds away.
