  • No one else in this area must be buying houses.

We have put down money now on 4 different houses and each one has fallen through for one reason or another. In all of them, after the deal is dropped, we get a phone call offering the house at the price we said we would pay. But, each time, we have already moved on. Now we are about to try for a 5th one. Maybe we are trying to set a record. Miranda asked our real estate guy if there was some sort of organization watching our buying moves and if there was a limit on the number of houses you could move through in a given amount of time……we all got a good laugh out of that one….but we are wondering if anyone else is interested in any of these houses……..

So, now the plan is to forget about the neighborhood, and just go for the house which has enough room and that can be gotten with the lowest mortgage we can get….none would be best……

I think we got one in mind right now….no waterfront access, no ocean access, no swimming pool…..but with a little savings, maybe we will be able to put one in soon………..another inspection is in the horizon.

I think we are supporting this inspector Mike this month…..this is the 3rd one in as many weeks………better safe than sorry…..each penny has helped us in the long run.

  • Hope this one works out, if it’s what you want. You’re an inspector’s dream!

I came to the conclusion, after owning a pool and inlaws having one, that I would never install one in concrete. FiberGlas, aluminum, steel, whatever, but not cracking, crumbling, high-maintenance concrete.

    Good luck!

  • Your comment about eating those flowers is so funnny *giggles*… Hmmm, I hope you will have more luck with house hunting soon. I think the perfect home has just not appeared yet. When the time comes, you will certainly get it!

  • Inspectors…eh.  I need that job, don’t you?  Walking around, making little flicks with the flashlight, and then inserting a few strategic “mmhms” here and there.  Good Luck finding a home, my dear.

  • Wow! I think you’re probably breaking a record, 4 houses. Good luck with the next one.

  • No pool. Oh shucks. *droops and walks back to her place, which also has no pool*
